Hello Josh. You recently played rock festival Download. Were you bottled?

Thankfully not! I think we do pretty well with every sort of crowd. We started off opening for heavier bands so even the serious rock crowds seem to accept us. We do well even though we have a female lead singer because I think we're always a little heavier than people expect.

Then you did better that My Chemical Romance by all reports...

Sure they got bottled but it was fine for the most part. There were so many My Chemical Romance fans there that it really didn't matter that so many metal kids hated them. There was a lot of fighting going on but that was more on the outside of the crowd.

How does your singer Hayley cope being stuck on tour with three stinking boys?

She deals with it all pretty well but you can tell that by the end of a tour that she's getting pretty sick of things. Personally I can't imagine being on a tourbus with all girls although I'm sure it would be alright if the girls were really hot.

You could always open a window if they were hot... oh. We are aware that Paramore make angry music for angry teenagers. How angry are you?

Not very! I'm probably the most angry of everyone in the band and I'm pretty chilled out. The last time I got really angry, it was probably at my ex-girlfriend about two years ago and that was just because she was just a frickin' witch.

But was she a hot witch? Don't answer that. What's wrong with music at the moment?

There are a lot of bands out there who are just fake and they don't really stand for anything. They're only writing music so they can get on the radio or on MTV and I think music is deeper than that. People take it for granted and music has turned into something cheap which it really shouldn't be. I think there's a lot more wrong than there is right with music and I can't think of a thing that is right with music at the moment.

What's the least rock and roll CD in your collection?

Probably Rascal Flats, who are a US country band. Everyone in the band is a fan so I'm not ashamed of it. Jeremy's got the weirdest stuff because he's really into rap. We all like rap but he's got stuff that's really terrible although I don't want to name any of the really bad stuff. I really don't want to piss off any gangsters.
